Pay scale is determined on individual work ethic, job qualification and general work attitude.
On The Job…
Work load is dependent on the time of year and particular job. Hours are usually 8-10 hour days, 5-6 days a week. Emergency work may be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Your work day may consist of any combination of the following:
- Bending Often
- Lifting Light to Heavy Loads
- Dragging and Grinding Brush
- Felling Trees and Sawing Wood
- Trimming Trees
- Utility Clearance Line Work (when certified)
- Some Landscaping
- Delivering / Spreading Mulch
- Planting Trees
- Cabling and Bracing of Trees
- Work From Aerial Lifts
- Climbing Trees
- Driving Truck
- Roping and Rigging of Trees
- Light Maintenance
- Maintaining a Clean Work Vehicle You Are Assigned To
- Grinding Stumps
- Applying Herbicides and Pesticides
- Attending Ongoing Training
